I Love Lucy- Our Home on Wheels

Our travel trailer, Lucy, is a '96 30 foot long Sportsmaster bunk house. While it doesn't have any pop outs, we have been surprised how well this little baby accommodates us and we got it for a screaming deal! The Lord totally knocked our socks off! :)

Here is the dining area when we first got the trailer. There was storage under the seats which is fabulous. However we found the super thick backs of the benches wasted a lot of space and we couldn't all sit around the table.

The living area when we first moved in. Really, pretty well taken care of! And the layout is great! I couldn't wait to put my own touch in my new home. :) I love a good project. :) I have found that I am very easily overstimulated visually. Wood paneling, crazy wallpaper and non-organized patterns stress me out! So immediately my mind went to work on how to make this small space a soothing, comforting space. However, money and time is an issue and I would have to do it slowwwwwly and a bit at a time. :) So I started with the valances and curtains. :)

Part of the Master Bedroom. I'm sorry...I have to say "ICK." Seriously....those curtains. LOL. But the bed is queen-sized and super comfy! It also lifts up for some storage underneath. We generally store seasonal stuff in there since it is a bit harder to get into than our other storage.

Celebrating Harmony's birthday in the trailer. :)

We found an oooold leak. This rotted flooring was under the couch and water tank. And then we found another rotten spot, and another....and another. The good part of this...is it sped up my "re-do" plans.

While we were in Houston, Dad helped Chase gut the living area and do the re-mod. Our trailer is "Holy." Ha! New floor joists

New floor, new benches and a new couch/water tank frame! Also some paint over the fabulous 90's wallpaper....the paneling is next! ;)
We designed an L-Shape dining benches (of course with storage) and we raised them to make them taller to accommodate my much taller table-top. I asked Chase to raise the table to counter height to allow me some more work-space since there is no counter space in the kitchen. Just a sink and stovetop. So the raised table is fabulous!!! We plan to get a couple of stools to go under the table for more seating.

We also painted the cabinets and Chase carefully scraped the gold and white sticker things off the mirrored doors. I love my floor! I love wood grains-on the floor or the ceiling. I am just odd like that I guess. ;)

Everything has a blue hue but is really gray. ;)  Still looking for the perfect fabric to cover the couch and make new dining room cushions but for now, we are having a little party like it is 1996. :)

I guess I don't have a picture with the table installed, but here is a picture of the table top Chase made!!! I love it! I asked for a black stain to kinda work with my black appliances.

The curtains I made. We had gotten some of those super thick, insulating curtains and so I covered them in the fabric I wanted. They look a little glaring here, but are just red. :) I also hung up the trailer ornaments we got for Christmas this year. I think the Chevron pillows will eventually make it to our bed but for now they are out here. :)

Some of our favorites. :) Chase LOVED this edger! Total life-saver!!! :)
